06/05/20 - Night

Today's theme was night and I decided to take photographs of fire at night because fire contrasts with the darkness of the sky and fire has connotations of warmth and light which are two essential things that you need at night. I wanted to make this shoot have an abstract appeal to really personify the look of the flames. In addition, I think these images are actually quite successful because of the way that I captured the flames and the patterns that the flames made are striking. If I were to improve this shoot I would have taken these photographs portrait because I think it would allow you to see the whole flame and the fire pit itself.
